8 DAYS HIGHLIGHTS OF RWANDA
Day 1: Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda
Arrive at Kigali airport. City tour with a possible visit to the Genocide memorial if time allows.

Day 2: Kigali - Butare - Nyungwe
Transfer to Butare (Huye), where it is possible to visit the national museum and Nyanza Hill.
Afterward, transfer to Nyungwe Forest.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest
Nyungwe is one of East Africa's largest forests, with 13 monkey species, including chimpanzees.
Make a walk through the forest in search of chimpanzees, monkeys, and birds, or do the waterfall trail.

Day 4: Nyungwe - Kibuye - Gisenyi (Lake Kivu)
We drive to Kibuye on the shores of Lake Kivu, where we will have lunch. Afterwards, we proceed to Gisenyi, where we will spend the night.

Day 5: Gisenyi - Volcanoes National Park
Relax at the beach in the morning, or go for a nature walk along the shore. In the afternoon, we drive to the Volcanoes National Park.

Day 6: Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, we will bring you to the starting point of the gorilla tracking. After the briefing, you begin your tracking of the gorillas.
The bamboo forest will drip around you as you first hear the breaking of bamboo signaling the group is near, and then you will be face-to-face with one of the most delightful and fascinating creatures in the world. After an hour's viewing, you will make the trek back to the lodge.

Day 7: Volcanoes National Park - Kigali
Optional activities for today (one activity included): Make a nature walk in the national park, visit the golden monkeys, climb a volcano, or visit Dian Fossey's Grave.
It is also possible to make another gorilla tracking, or to visit the Twin Lakes, Lake Ruhondo, and Lake Burera.
