Congo-Nile Trail Biking and meet Gorillas in the Mist
DAY 1: Arrival - Kigali
Meet and Greet on your arrival at Kigali Airport & Transfer to your Hotel for an Overnight in Kigali.
DAY 2: Drive to Kibuye and see the Beauty of Rwanda
After breakfast, drive to Kibuye with several stops on the way for photographs, and reach Kibuye, where you will visit this beautiful city and have a short boat tour to visit and relax on Napoleon Island in Lake Kivu.
DAY 3: Cycling from Kibuye to Kinunu village while interacting with Local People
On this day, you will start the popular 2-day cycling route on the Rwanda/Congo-Nile Trail. This will provide you with a great, unique opportunity to experience the beauty and culture of traversing western Rwanda. visit local markets and continue riding through rural villages, and coffee and tea plantations.
Later in the afternoon, you arrive at Kinunu Guest House ,where you will get the full coffee experience, from Crop to cup. Overnight in Kinunu Guest House.
DAY 4: Biking Kininu to Gisenyi; Meet people, Explore the Beauty and Culture, Cycling around Lake Kivu
After breakfast, you will continue cycling along Lake Kivu, crossing fishing villages and getting a thousand views of Lake Kivu. Then, after arriving in Rubina fishing village, visit the hot springs and meet the fishermen in this village for a short fishing experience tour, then go to your hotel. You can spend the night in this fishing village.
DAY 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and track the Golden Monkey, and visit the Cultural Village
Early morning, we drive 1h30 to Volcanoes National Park, where we meet park rangers to accompany us to visit the golden monkey.
After the visit, we can drive to check in at the hotel near the park, and later in the afternoon, go to visit the cultural village to know more about the Rwandan culture. After sharing stories, dancing, visiting traditional healers and other cultures from our ancestors, and participating in traditional games.. etc.. we drive back to your hotel.
DAY 6: Gorilla Tracking in Volcanoes National Park, and after returning to your hotel for refreshments and lunch, then driving to Kigali. Relax and spend the night in Kigali.
Note: if time allows and you are interested, after the Gorilla visits, we can visit for 3 hours a historical place, Eco-buhanga historical park.
DAY 7: Visit the Genocide memorial, local market, and souvenir shops, relax, and later in the afternoon transfer to the airport for your departure.
