Rwanda & DR Congo Adventure Tour
Day 1: Meet and transfer to Goma or Rumangabo in D. R. Congo
Meet our tour guide on your arrival in Kigali in Rwanda, Enjoy a beautiful drive through the land of a thousand hills to reach Gisenyi the largest port on Lake Kivu, and transfer to Goma in D.R.Congo. Check in to your hotel. Alternatively, meet our Tour Guide in Kisoro in Uganda and transfer to Rumangabo via the Bunagana border. Overnight in Goma or Virunga Lodge
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Virunga National Park
Have an early breakfast and transfer to Bukima park station in Virunga National Park. After a briefing with park rangers, go on a mountain gorilla trek. Transfer to Goma after Gorilla trekking and stay at Hotel Relaxing. Overnight in Goma
Day 3: Climb Nyiragongo Volcano
Climb Nyiragongo Volcano in VNP At 8 o’clock, after breakfast, have an introduction to the activities of this day. Go shopping; then transfer to Kibati park station. After a briefing with park rangers, start Hiking the Nyiragongo volcano(the climb takes about 4 to 5 hours).
Hike through an impressive rain forest, the climb continues on the lava eruption fissure until 2002, reaching the summit. Have the whole evening to enjoy the view from the crater and watch the lava inside. Overnight in a shelter at the crater.
Day 4: Descend Nyiragongo Volcano – Goma Sightseeing and Boat ride to Idjwi
After breakfast, descend down from Nyiragongo, meet our driver to Kibati then go for the Goma Sightseeing tour which gives you an insight of the 2002 eruption that destroyed a large part of Goma town. Return to your hotel for lunch and afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Goma.
Day 5: Boat Ride to Bukavu
Have breakfast and continue with a boat ride to Bukavu. Check in to the hotel and in the afternoon Go for the Bukavu Sightseeing tour. Overnight in Bukavu
Day 6: Gorilla Tracking
Lowland Gorilla Tracking in Congo Early morning Transfer to Kahuzi- Biega National Park. After park ranger briefing, trek to see lowland gorillas. Transfer back to your hotel after trekking the Eastern Lowland Gorillas.
Day 7: Departure
Check out of the hotel and transfer to Kigali or Take the boat back to Goma. Tour ends.
