Rwanda Nature - Cultural and Community Based Tour
Day 1; Arrival in Kigali – Welcome to Rwanda "Land of a Thousand Hills".
You will be met by a driver and tour guide, who then will transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight in Kigali at Mille Colline hotel.
Day 2: Ruhengeri
In the morning after your breakfast, you will drive to Musanze in the north of Rwanda; Visit the cave in Musanze or do Eco-Buhanga Historical nature walk, and later in the evening meet and interact with local people in Iby’ Iwacu cultural village. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge
Day 3: Visit the Twin Lakes of Ruhondo and Burera
After your breakfast, go explore the beautiful region of the twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. The local people will introduce you to the traditional sustainable farming methods with African vegetables and fruits, and visit the local fishermen. Stopover to the Foyer de Charite for a lunch and enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of Lake Ruhondo and the volcanoes chain. After a relaxing drive back to overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge
Day 4: Gorilla tracking - drive to Gisenyi - experience dancing pots and fishing tour in Kivu
On this day you will visit Gorillas in Volcanoes national park; after driving to Gisenyi at the northern shores of Lake Kivu, visit the Batwa community; learn about their pottery and interact with them through their art of pottery as well as singing, drumming, painting, and dancing and later in the evening go for a fishing experience tour in lake Kivu. Overnight at Malahide Paradis hotel
Day 5: Cycling Congo - Nile Trail and Experience Coffee from crop to Cup – Take a boat back Gisenyi
After breakfast, bike from Gisenyi to Cyimbiri village where you will have the coffee tour experience from to cup, and after take a boat ride back to Gisenyi. Overnight at Paradis Malahide Hotel
Day 6: Drive Back to Kigali - End of the Tour
In the morning after your breakfast, drive to Kigali, do a Kigali city tour, visit the local market, visit the Gisozi Genocide memorial and then proceed to the airport for your departure.
