Experience Rwanda Safaris with Kawira Safaris
Day 1: Arrival
At Kigali airport meet the driver and Tour guide from Kawira Safaris to brief you about the city tour in Kigali to National Museum and Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site. Have Lunch and later drive to the base of the volcanoes and visit the scenic twin lakes of Burera & Ruhondo. After the events, check in at your hotel, have Dinner, and Overnight Full Board.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking.
In the morning leave for gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans an activity that has no defined time to start and end but is too marvelous compared to all other park activities. It’s done through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga which provides a miraculous experience to tourists by having ample time with the gorillas.
After locating these primates, spend over an hour and be back at the base in time for a late lunch. However, some gorilla families are more elusive and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy so always be a lucky tracker. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View lodge.
Day 3: A visit to the Hopeless Children of the Genocide.
In the morning together with a picnic lunch and head to the Shores of Lake Kivu in Gisenyi, where you will visit the Rosamond Carr's Orphanage for the Children who lost parental love during the genocide time in 1994. But know needs to console by true friends so your visit is of great value. Later Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight on a full board basis
.Day 4: Adventure Tour on Lake Kivu
In the morning after breakfast take the Speed Boat to Cyangugu a place famous for river and lakes beach, farm tourism, and great village tours that expose the real African man at work to the world. Have lunch en route at Kibuye in Amahoro Island then dinner and overnight stay at Nyungwe Forest Lodge
Day 5: Primate viewing in Nyungwe Forest.
In the morning leave for Nyungwe forest for the first Chimpanzee trekking in the blessed great African chimp home full of different primate species that are not anywhere else in Africa. Return for lunch at Nyungwe Forest Lodge and later go for primate viewing at the monkey base in the forest or go for the waterfall hike. Make friends with the primates which will create a lifetime memory for Africa in your life. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe top view lodge.
Day 6: Tour Rwanda Genocide Popular Sites.
Visit the Murambi Genocide Memorial Site famous for having dead remains of the massacred people like torn old clothes, skeletons of a twisted group of people who were killed in groups of young and elderly, Butare National Museum a theatre of traditional artifacts, and many more are mentioned, plus the former Royal Palace in Nyanza town. Dinner and overnight at Marriot Hotel
Day 7: A City Tour and Departure Back Home.
Tour Kigali for some shopping of memorable African back-home products that will keep you close to Africa for the rest of your life. Transfer to the Airport for your home-bound flight and that will mark the end of your safari.
