Responsible Tracking and Rules:

To protect the gorillas, who are highly susceptible to human diseases, several rules are strictly enforced:

A distance of at least 7 meters (23 feet) must be maintained from the gorillas.

No flash photography is allowed.

If you are feeling unwell with a cold or flu, you may be prohibited from trekking.

Masks may be required when you are close to the gorillas.

Best Time to Visit:

Gorilla trekking is possible year-round. The dry seasons (June–August and December–February) offer easier hiking conditions with less mud, while the wet seasons (March–May and October–November) provide lush, green scenery.
